This is a collection of mood boards I developed for a friend who was working on re-imagining the world of Alice in Wonderland in new and interesting ways. I made those illustration to help capture a sense of the world in which the story takes place.

I really like the way the grainy black and white aesthetic adds a hint of eeriness to the world but also makes playful and inviting. I drew the illustrations by hand and then used my cell phone’s low-fi quality camera to capture that grain.
